# Workflow Automation Engineer

Turn repetitive operational work into dependable systems. Study how FingerTrip’s internal workflows actually run, remove the friction, and build automations that let a small team operate with the leverage of a much larger one.

## What you will do

- Map workflows across content operations, event ingestion, data quality, partner support, and administration.
- Build automations, internal tools, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows using APIs, scripts, databases, and human review.
- Design validation, retries, audit trails, and recovery paths, then measure time saved, error reduction, throughput, and quality.
- Decide what should stay manual, and keep a person in the loop wherever judgment or risk demands one.

## What we are looking for

- Strong systems thinking, and the ability to turn messy manual work into clear, dependable processes.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, scripting, SQL, automation platforms, or internal tooling.
- Care for edge cases, permissions, human oversight, and documentation, with close collaboration with the people who run the work.
- A bias for measuring what an automation actually saved, and for retiring the ones that stop earning their keep.

## Nice to have

- Experience building workflow systems on GCP or AWS with Python, TypeScript, webhooks, queues, schedulers, or internal tools.
- Experience with LLM-assisted operations, data pipelines, browser automation, content operations, or local commerce.
- Experience working alongside non-engineering operators and turning their feedback into tooling they actually use.
